A Hugh Burnett garden is functional and enduring. Hugh's straightforward approach to sustainability is to create gardens that survive trends and are allowed to mature and evolve over time. Hugh's design philosophy is to embrace the classic - to create something memorable and personal.

Hugh's talent in creating timeless gardens that perform was honed on roof top gardens on Fifth Avenue and summer homes in The Hamptons during his foundational years with New York's prestigious Plant Specialists Landscape Design Team.

Following his return to Australia, Hugh's work has been widespread with his detailed designs now found in Tuscany, Houston and more locally - homes in the Riverina and New England regions of NSW. Based in Sydney, Hugh has continued to create classic, understated, yet distinct designs for courtyards, rooftops, pools and gardens in both the inner city and leafy suburbs of Sydney. A genuine appreciation of design, architecture and craftsmanship, and an authentic interest in how people live are the focus of Hugh’s work and inform the complete garden design.

Hugh Burnett is a Registered Landscape Architect (Bachelor of Landscape Architecture UNSW), AILA (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects) and a Member of AILDM (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects and Designers).
